Travis High School Tiger Band and Guard

Fundraiser

Each year, all students have a registration fee that is due.  This fee covers the cost of music, sound and other equipment, instrument maintenance and repair, marching show props, uniforms, food for events, instructors that hold student master classes during the year, contest entries, transportation for events, etc.  Although this fee covers a lot of the costs generated, there is still a financial gap that must be met.  To help close this gap, the Travis Booster club hosts ongoing fundraisers during the year.  This email address is being protected from spambots. Annual Kickoff Fundraiser (WiddyUp)

The annual kickoff fundraiser is the biggest fundraiser of the year.  It is opened with Rock-a-thon, the end-of-summer-band lock-in party.  The current platform, WiddyUp, allows students to make a quick video where they share a quick talent – playing their instrument, saying a joke, singing, etc – and ask for donations for their favorite Tiger band & guard family.  Then they share the video with at least 10 people.  It’s simple and quick and usually runs from the last day of band camp and into the 3rd week of August.  Parent volunteers are needed to plan and prepare the Rock-a-thon event.  WiddyUp planning occurs with the collaborative help of the Booster Executive Board and Band & Guard Directors.

Car Wash

Four car washes held each year – two in the Summer/Fall and two in the Winter/Spring.  Parent volunteers provide car wash supplies and snacks for students, receive payment, oversee the students.  Students wash and dry cars in teams as well as play their instruments or hold signs to invite customers.  Time/date/location announced during the year via signup genius for each event.

Corporate Sponsorship

Parents secure corporate sponsors during the year. They donate to the Travis Tiger Band and Guard following the sponsorship level on the Sponsorship webpage.
